Jasdeep Singh Gill appointed as new head of Radha Soami Satsang Beas

Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB) has announced that Jasdeep Singh Gill will succeed Gurinder Singh Dhillon as the patron and ‘sant satguru’ of the organization. This change takes effect from September 2, 2024. RSSB Secretary Devender Kumar Sikri confirmed the appointment of Jasdeep Singh Gill, a 45-year-old with an extensive academic background. Gill holds a doctorate in chemical engineering from Cambridge University and degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. RSSB satsung in dera beas will held on 8 september 2024 by Baba Gurinder Singh Ji 

Jasdeep Singh Gill: Role and Responsibilities

As the new Sant Satguru, Gill will assume the role of spiritual leader and will be responsible for initiating followers. Sikri noted, “Baba Ji has expressed that like he has received full support and love of the ‘sangat’ after Huzur Maharaj ji, he has wished and requested that the same love and affection be given to Jasdeep Singh Gill in carrying out his ‘sewa (service)’ as patron and sang satguru.”

Jasdeep Singh Gill: Background and Experience

Jasdeep Singh Gill recently stepped down from his position as Chief Strategy Officer at Cipla Limited, where he worked from 2019 until May 31, 2024. He was also associated with Ethris and Achira Labs Private Limited as a board observer and served on the board of Wealthy Therapeutics until March 2024. His previous roles include being an executive assistant to the CEO at Ranbaxy and president and chairman at Cambridge University Entrepreneurs.

Gill’s educational qualifications include a PhD in chemical engineering from Cambridge, a master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in biochemical engineering and biotechnology from IIT Delhi.
